Position Title: Cerner Integration & Automation Specialist

Role Summary

This role focuses on planning, designing, building, and supporting Cerner Millennium integrations, automation, and data exchange solutions that connect Cerner with internal and external systems to improve ambulatory, administrative, and revenue operations.

Must Haves

  • Hands-on experience with Cerner Millennium, particularly supporting ambulatory and administrative workflows
  • Proven experience with system integrations using HL7 v2, FHIR APIs, and interface engines (e.g., Mirth, Cloverleaf, Rhapsody)
  • Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes, patient access, scheduling, and operational systems
  • Experience automating workflows and improving data flows between Cerner and other healthcare systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to identify and resolve interface, data, and workflow issues
  • Ability to work collaboratively with IT, clinical, revenue, and operational stakeholders
  • Strong documentation and communication skills

Nice to Haves

  • Experience supporting ambulatory automation initiatives within a large health system
  • Exposure to Epic ambulatory or revenue modules
  • Experience with SQL, scripting, or automation tools
  • Cerner, HL7, FHIR, or healthcare integration certifications
  • Experience with cloud-based integration or middleware platforms

Position Title: Cerner Business Systems Analyst – Ambulatory & Revenue

Role Summary

The Cerner Business Systems Analyst supports the configuration, enhancement, and ongoing optimization of Cerner systems with a focus on ambulatory, revenue cycle, and administrative workflows. The role involves requirements gathering, workflow analysis, support for integration and automation initiatives, and close collaboration with clinical, operational, and technical teams.

Must Haves

  • Associate degree in healthcare, information technology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2+ years of information systems support experience in one or more Cerner revenue cycle disciplines, such as:
  • Patient Access (Registration, Scheduling, CPM, Win32)
  • Patient Accounting
  • HIM
  • Charge Services / Revenue Integrity
  • Minimum 2+ years of healthcare revenue cycle or clinical experience
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and system requirements
  • Strong understanding of ambulatory, revenue, and operational (OPS) workflows
  • Ability to collaborate with technical teams on integration and automation initiatives
  • Experience supporting testing, UAT, and system changes in a Cerner environment
  • Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills

Nice to Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, information technology, or a related field
  • Cerner solution certifications, PMP, ITIL, or CPHIMS
  • Experience with Cerner build/configuration in ambulatory or revenue cycle modules
  • Exposure to Epic or other enterprise EHR platforms
  • Familiarity with HL7 or FHIR concepts from a functional or analytical perspective

Bonus Skills: Cerner Certifications, PMP/ITIL, or exposure to Epic modules.
